Last night I attended the "Healing For Japan" benefit concert at MSU. The concert included performances by many of the faculty at MSU, including a few people from the piano deparment that I used to study with. It was an incredibly moving experience, but not just because of the music. The entire event was put on by two people that were probably much younger than me. It occurred to me that I have not done my part as a human being to try to help with the relief effort in Japan. So for the next 48 hours, everyone that buys a copy of "They Reappear" will be donating towards the Red Cross. 100% of the money that comes in will go straight to the relief effort. I'm sure many of you reading this have already purchased a copy, so now would be a good time to get the word to your friends. If you like, you can think of it as making a $12 donation to the Red Cross and getting free music in return!
I realize that living so far from Japan, we are a bit removed from the situation. As the months go by, the earthquake becomes something we think about less and less. By now, there's a good chance that entire days go by without us thinking about it. But we have to remember that they are still very much in the middle of this tragedy. Right now, today, they need your help. We have 48 hours. Here's the link:

Thank you.

Not to be weird or anything but I just saw this link on Facebook and just realized I was sitting next to you at the Benefit Concert. I was listening to your album earlier that day too. Really enjoy your work. Last night was a great night (and humbling). It's cool you are doing this. I'll spread the word.
