Last night I watched "Genius Within", the Glenn Gould documentary. It was wonderful, and I would highly recommend it. One of the final pieces of music they use in the movie is Wagner's "Siegfried Idyll". It's a beautiful piece of music, and I was able to find two recordings of it involving Glenn Gould. In the first, he is conducting; in the second he is playing his own piano transcription of the piece.
You may remember that this piece was also used in a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode...
I love this piece, though your ears may have become too accustom to it's beauty over the years. Certain pieces sadly, are so universally appreciated and performed, that they become nothing more that cliche classical music for ring tones in the end. I hope you have a chance to listen to both of these in their entirety. Thanks for reading.

Love this music.
Wagner was a really big influence in C.S. Lewis's young life, which i think is awesome. Isn't this part of a bigger piece entitled Siegfried and the Twilight of the Gods?
