Weird. If you were a freshman in high school when we made this, you'd be graduating right now.
If memory serves, this is one of the first things I ever did with Brandon Goodwin. Back then, I was working with a record label believing all sorts of tall tales about where my career was going. Off the top of my head, I don't recall a single one of these things ever happening. Now, to be fair, I don't think I was their ideal artist any more than they were an ideal label for me. It's just funny to me that back then, if they told me I was gonna have CD's in Starbucks, I told all of my friends and family. I don't think I would've ever guessed that four years later, if approached by a label making big promises, I would say, "Prove it". That wasn't really what I was intending on blogging about, but I just came across that video and it got me thinking about everything back then.
I was going to blog about the attempted car jacking I saw yesterday by a guy with a hatchet, but I suppose that can wait for another day.
For tonight, I have an episode of The Sopranos to watch, and, more importantly, this:
I have high hopes for this one. Thanks for reading.
Jeremy
PS, my absolute favorite single malt scotch under $100 right now is Glenmorangie 12 year- Quinta Ruban. Any scotch drinkers out there that wanna share their favorites?

you should try the aberlour 15 year, 60%
It's so delicious!

Oban for highland, macallan for speyside (just had a glass), lagavulin for islay, although Ardbeg is permanently in my cabinet, too. Even though I used to live an hour's drive from the lowlands, I have never had one of their malts.
Another Islay I really enjoyed was Caol Ila, but I haven't found it outside of Edinburgh; i'm sure it's around, but I just don't know where around here. Didn't see it at the international store last time I was there.

Chad, I've never had Oban! Macallan, I love the 18 year, but can't afford it. I also have Ardbeg in my cabinet at the moment. The 10 year was on sale. LOVE it! Another honorable mention, was a Springbank 21 year- amazing.

I think this may have been the first thing of yours I ever saw or heard. After we first met you we did that thing where you check out the new friend's music or pictures or whatever. I'm pretty sure the general response was something like-- holy crap, he's REALLY good.

Oh wow. I think that's when we first met you. Time goes by so fast. Too fast.

If you get the chance you should try Bruichladdich but I am pretty sure it can't be imported into the USA. If you ever find yourself in UK its worth a try. Delicious

OK I read your last post and realized I totally skipped this one. While I'm interested in the first thing you recorded, I am flabbergasted that you witnessed such a blatant attempted crime!! YIKES!!
I would be interested to read more about that, especially the where and when. And how you stayed safely out of it.

Laphroaig anyone? I haven't had much opportunity to try any premium single malts because when you have two kids, there is only so much budget to go around.
That said, I like bourbon (Maker's Mark).
